Public Engagement and Communications Program
The Board believes that the schools and school grounds should be open to persons other than students when there is a real interest and legitimate basis. To help protect students and school property, school officials must know if any persons, not members of the staff or student body, are inside the buildings or on the grounds.
The Board invites parents and public attendance at public school events such as sports contests, musical events and dramatic plays. In addition to applicable Federal and State statutes, such attendance will be subject to rules of normal audience decorum and general rules of sportsmanship.
The Board authorizes the development and application of rules to govern this policy. Also, the Board authorizes enforcement of this policy, its rules and regulations.
