JCSD Policy

The district’s grading system shall be based on Baord-adopted course content and is designed to enable the student and parent to clearly know how well the student is achieving course requirements at the student’s current grade level, and be based on the student’s progress toward becoming proficient in a continuum of knowledge and skills.

Establishing and maintaining productive communication with parents/guardians of each student is an important goal of the Board. Regular achievement reports to parents can be the foundation for building effective communication between school personnel and parents. It is upon such reports that a spirit of cooperation can be established which can further the individual students' interests, achievements and potential.
