Senior Year-End Activities

 

One school day of school-sponsored and supervised activities to be known as "Senior Fling" shall be held.

1. Senior Fling activities must be restricted to within a 50-mile radius of Madras – exceptions to be approved by the administration and the Board.

2. All seniors participating in Senior Fling must use school transportation.

3. A minimum of six approved chaperones (parents and teachers) must be present at all times.

4. Senior Fling will begin at the senior high school at 8:45 a.m. – departure time for buses. All buses with all students must return to the high school by 6:00 p.m. Arrival at the high school terminates the school-sponsored activities – Senior Fling.

5. Senior Fling will take place prior to graduation during senior release week.

6. Senior Fling is considered a field trip. Students must obey the sponsors and chaperones at all time. Discipline problems will be handled in the same manner as they would on any school day.

7. The principal or assistant principal be present at all times. The head senior advisor is also required to attend.

8. The district will provide the following financial support for Senior Fling: transportation to include salaried and substitute teachers for no more than three teacher-advisors.

9. The parents of all seniors must sign a permission slip approving of their child’s participation.
