Student Fund-Raising Activities
In addition to student activity funds, principals may authorize the collection of other funds during the school year, to be receipted and deposited according to district policy and acceptable accounting procedures.
Students with prior permission from the principal and under the direction of their advisor, may carry out fund-raising activities if the activity does not require a contract and if there is no involvement by outside agencies. Where raising funds requires signing a contract or working with an outside agency, the request shall be referred to the superintendent or his/her designee who may approve the activity or refer the request to the Board.
Activities related to fund raising for charitable purposes, rather than specific school purposes, require prior approval of the principal and superintendent.
