Rules:
The membership of the council should represent the cultural and ethnic diversity of the community . The council may declare a membership vacancy in any position due to two consecutive, unexcused absences, and subsequently, ask the Board to appoint a new member.
Terms of Office:
Positions #1(superintendent) serves permanently.
Position #2 and #(administrator and supervisor) elected by the administrative council; serve a three-year term.
Positions #3, #4, and #5 (teachers) selected by M.E.A. (1), administrative council (1), and the superintendent (1); serve three-year overlapping, rotating terms; initial terms drawn by lot.
Position #6 (tribal education representative) elected by tribal education committee; serves a three-year term.
Position #7 (A classified employee) selected by O.S.E.A. Chapter 54; serves a two-year term.
Positions #8, #9, #10 (A parent not a teacher and a business and/or government representative) selected by the Board; serve a one-year term.
Positions #11 (A high school student) selected by the high school principal; serves a one-year term.
