GDL-AR - Classified Staff In-service Training


The district director of human resources will assure the following training and schedules are met:

Required Training

 

Annually: All classified employees shall participate in district approved training in the following areas:

1. Bloodborne pathogens:

 

2. Hazardous materials;

 

3. Fire extinguishers;

4. Drug free work place;

5. Sexual harassment;

6. Harassment;

7. Liability.

Upon Hiring: Within the first two weeks of employment with the district, all new employees shall be provided training related to their employment contract, district policies, all the above yearly requirements, their job description and the supervisory structure in which the employee works.

Every Three Years: Bus drivers, and selected classified staff assigned to the schools (enough people to make a one to sixty student ratio in the schools) shall complete First Aid training.

Voluntary Training

Upon receipt of training/in-service announcements offered in Oregon and Southern Washington, the Director of Support Services shall distribute copies of announcements of training to all cost centers.
