Qualification of Substitute
A substitute shall be qualified to perform the duties of the work available except that consideration will be given for lack of experience on the specific job.
Application Procedures
Application for substitute classified work will be received during working hours at the district administration office. Applicants shall use the classified application form and indicate availability for substituting.
Selection List
An approved list of substitutes will be maintained by the human resources director and made available to building principals and supervisors.
The human resources director shall be responsible for placing substitute classified workers.
Payment
Substitutes will be paid the following designated hourly rate classified in the following categories:
Educational Assistants, Secretaries, and Cooks $10.25
Bus Drivers $13.34
Custodians $12.46
Guidelines
Substitutes shall follow the building procedures prescribed by the immediate supervisor or administrator and the District Substitute Handbook.
