License Requirements
In accordance with Board policy governing teacher and administration certification, the following rules are made and shall be applied:
1. Teachers/administrators must submit to the superintendent a valid Oregon teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement prior to the beginning of work;
2. Teacher/administrator certificates will be registered and recorded by the superintendent's secretary;
3. Teacher/administrator contracts offered and/or approved by the Board are not valid or effective until a valid, appropriate teaching certificate has been recorded in the superintendent's office;
4. Teacher/administrator certificate renewal is the responsibility of the individual teacher/administrator. Timely renewal is required and failure to acquire timely renewal may be grounds for suspension and/or dismissal.
