Authorized Use of District Equipment and Materials
Free Community Use
The following items are examples of furniture and equipment which may be rented at a reduced rate or have rental fees waived according to policy:
1. Portable movie screen;
2. Slide/sound projector;
3. Tape recorder/CD player;
4. Overhead projector;
5. Folding chairs;
6. Portable P. A.;
7. Tables;
8. Microphones.
Other items with a total value under $500 may be loaned at the discretion of the building principal. Items with a market value of over $500.00 shall in most cases not be rented or loaned out for public use.
VCR equipment may be used by approved groups, but shall remain in the school building. All such use must avoid conflict with instructional and other district use.
Users shall complete a rental form (KGF/EDC-F1) and accept responsibility for full replacement due to loss or damage. Damage of an item will be determined by the building principal.
Rental Community Use
Furniture and/or equipment Fee Schedule: Usage is defined as one school day or a weekend from 3:30 p.m. Friday to the following Monday at 8:15 a.m.
1. Portable movie screen $ 10.00
2. Slide projector $ 15.00
3. Slide/sound projector $ 20.00
4. Tape recorder/C D player $ 10.00
5. Overhead projector $ 20.00
6. Folding chairs $1.00 each
7. Portable P.A. $ 20.00
8. Tables $5.00
9. Microphones $15.00
General Rules for Rentals
1. The building principal is authorized to refuse rental where user reliability and/or responsibility is unverified.
2. A rental form shall be completed for each use. Rental fees will be submitted to the district business office by the principal
3. All church groups are required to pay rental fees.
4. The district reserves the right to determine whether or not any and all criteria have been met.
5. The user must agree to use care and prudence in the handling of district furniture and equipment.
6. The user must sign a rental agreement for use of equipment accepting responsibility for replacement due to loss or damage.
Public Use of Computer Equipment
Computer equipment shall be primarily for the use of students and faculty in the instructional program. Public use is generally limited to those instances in which a computer class has been approved to use a district facility.
