ECH -AR - Warm Springs Housing Procedure

Warm Springs Housing Procedure

 

The following priority ranking shall be considered when assigning housing and trailer space to district employees:

1. Licensed staff who are not tribal members.

2. Classified staff who are not tribal members.

3. Licensed staff who are tribal members.

4. Classified staff who are tribal members.

When vacancies occur the superintendent will consider the following criteria prior to making a housing assignment:

1. Specific needs of the district;

2. Priority rank (above);

3. Specific housing needs of the applicant(s).

Needs of the district relative to employee housing shall be determined by the superintendent and may result in assignment of rent free housing in exchange for specific services outside the scope of an individual's job description.

Effective August 1, 2007, the rental fees shall be:

House:

1 bedroom $ 215.00/month

2 bedroom $ 235.00/month

3 bedroom $ 255.00/month

Trailer:

$ 205.00/month

Trailer space:

$ 100.00/month

Rental rates will be periodically reviewed for appropriate adjustments.

For licensed tenants, monthly rental fees will be withheld from payroll checks. For classified tenants, monthly rental fees will be withheld from payroll checks when possible; however, during non-school months, tenants will be responsible for paying rent to the district office prior to the 5th of each month.

A security deposit of $300.00 will be required from each tenant prior to moving into a housing unit or moving to another unit. Of this deposit, $150 will be a non-refundable cleaning deposit and the remainder will be refunded upon departure barring damages which are deemed to be beyond normal wear and tear. For new staff members, the deposit may be collected through monthly payroll deductions for up to 10 months upon approval of the principal and business manager.

A $75.00 key deposit will be collected by the Business Department. This deposit will be returned when the occupant moves out and turns in their keys to the district office.

Tenants are responsible for heating, electrical and sewage charges.
