Fiscal Management Goals
The Board goals for fiscal management of the district are:
1. To use broadly based staff planning and community involvement to develop budgets and to guide expenditures.
2. To provide funding which will provide high quality education for the district's students.
3. To use the program budgeting techniques for budget development and management.
4. To provide timely and appropriate information to appropriate staff with fiscal management responsibilities.
5. To establish maximum efficiency procedures for accounting, reporting, business, purchasing and delivery, payroll, payment of vendors and contractors, and all other areas of fiscal management.
6. To follow all pertinent Oregon laws, administrative rules with regard to budget development, accounting, purchasing, and contracting.
To meet the goals of this policy the Board requires the superintendent to establish appropriate procedures and to review the financial operations annually and report to the Board on effectiveness. In addition to the goals listed above, the Board may establish other additional goals for the upcoming budgetary period.
