Licensed Evaluation - Administrators

All District administrators will be placed on an evaluation schedule:

1. Probationary Administrators

Probationary administrators will receive a minimum of one written evaluation report per school year.

2. Contract Administrators

Contract administrators will receive a minimum of one written evaluation report every four years.

Prior to any evaluation, administrators will have an opportunity to discuss administrator standards, job

descriptions, and their annual goals with their immediate supervisors. While administrators are

expected to develop individual goals, the supervisor may require that specific items be included.

The written evaluation shall be based upon the individual’s job description, annual goals, and an optional narrative. An administrator may attach a rebuttal statement.

Directive Supervision

1. Whenever an administrator's job performance is recognized as being substandard to the point that it threatens individual or team effectiveness, the supervisor may issue a "Change of Status" letter and may require a subsequent conference for the purpose of issuing a "Program of Assistance". The affected administrator receiving a change of status letter may bring a representative to this conference which shall be scheduled no sooner than five calendar days after issuance of the "Change of Status" letter. Data gathered after the "Program of Assistance" may be used in dismissal proceedings. Following receipt of such notice, the supervisor will schedule regular conferences to review progress on the specific deficiencies.

2. The Program of Assistance for Improvement must include:

a. A statement of the deficiencies.

b. Recommendations for improvement.

c. Assistance which will be provided.

d. Conditions for progress evaluations.

e. Who will evaluate progress.

f. Time line for plan and remediation of deficiencies.

RE: ADMINISTRATOR CHANGE OF STATUS

This is not a notice of dismissal. You are requested to meet with me on                           to receive a Program of Assistance. From that date to the completion of your employment, or until another conclusion is reached, supervision will no longer be used solely for the improvement of your services to the district, but also for obtaining and recording information about terminating your employment with the district.
